Our Story
Gleeson Legal is a boutique commercial law firm founded on a simple principle: legal advice must be genuinely useful.
After more than two decades in the legal profession, Daniel Gleeson established the firm in 2019 to close the gap between a business's goals and purely academic legal advice. His career is defined by a unique multi-faceted perspective, giving him a deep understanding of what clients truly need, having seen the law from every angle:
- As a lawyer in major global law firms, including DLA Piper and Eversheds.
- As senior in-house counsel, sitting on both the customer and supplier side of the table at iconic companies like Google and Woolworths.
- As the founder of his own successful legal consultancy, Gleeson Consulting, in the UK from 2016, before returning to Australia.
This first-hand, global experience across the Asia-Pacific, UK, and EMEA is the foundation of our firm. We provide legal counsel that is not only technically sound but always commercially pragmatic.
